Logan, UtahTeam Colavita|Bianchi kicked off the inaugural Tour of Utah Women's Edition in downtown Logan, Utah.  Day one saw the skies open and down pour on the woman's peloton as the riders began the 2.4 km course. The early laps of the race saw repeated attacks from the peloton which, coupled with the rain, whittled the field down by a sizable reduction. Colavita|Bianchi rider Gretchen Stumhofer reacted to a timely move that landed her in the break of the day. Ahead of Stumhofer's break of 5 riders was a solo move that eventually proved a winning ride. Stumhofer was remarkably tactical in the break and attacked at the most precise moment to secure a solid 2nd place spot on the podium.

Colavita|Bianchi Director Sportif Mary Zider commented that "I couldn't have been more pleased with her team's efforts today...It was a total team effort" Zider added "Everyone stepped up and showed a remarkable level of mental toughness which makes me so proud. Their efforts paid off... when you have such a talented rider like Gretchen to work for... riding selfless becomes second nature...she is riding unbelievable and this is only the beginning... She is a real talent and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with her".

Day two saw the action shift to downtown Ogdan, Utah. In complete contrast to day one, racing started under the big blue skies of Utah. The course featured flat, wide open roads which brought about a different challenge for the pack keeping things all together for the full 75 minutes of racing. Colavita|Bianchi rode with a plan to keep Stumhofer in good position for the overall Omnium. The points were very close to begin with, so it was going to be a close "race within the race" for any additional points. Stumhofer narrowly missed out on a  3rd place overall placing, after a solid finish of 7th place in a tough field of 88 riders.

Up next the team heads to the inaugural Women's US Pro Challenge in Colorado. The highly touted race begins with an ITT in Breckenridge followed by a road race starting in Loveland and finishing in Ft. Collins. Day 3 wraps things up with a Criterium in Golden.

Roster and event information will be released as soon as details are available.
