Mary hails from the Green Mountains of Vermont and continues to reside there when not on the road with the team. Mary enjoys the distinct seasons of her home state along with the countless miles of dirt roads and never ending climbing right at her door step. Before cycling, Mary attended Boston College with an athletic scholarship for Soccer. which allowed her to continue her success on the soccer field. To this day, one of the biggest highlights of Mary’s soccer career was participating in the inaugural McDonaldís High School All-American Soccer Game as one of the top 36 female soccer players in the U.S. After her soccer career, Mary took up recreational cycling for fitness, but was still fueled by the desire to compete. She found her way into the New England racing scene where her strong endurance background quickly distinguished her as a strong all-around rider. Mary raced for a number of elite teams before landing on the UCI Juverderm/Specialized. Racing for these teams Mary was able to race extensively in France, Belgium, Sweden, and Germany. In 2012, Mary joined the Colavita family and quickly embraced the role of a top domestique rider, working for a number of the top sprinters in the Peloton. In 2014 Mary stepped off the bike and became the full-time Director Sportif for the UCI Colavita|Bianchi team. When not involved with bike racing, Mary enjoys, spending time with family and friends, taking road trips, and watching college basketball (go DUKE!).
