Breckenridge, CO – This year’s USA Pro Challenge brings an added dimension by adding a three-day Women’s Stage race to the mix. The inaugural woman’s edition kicks off on Friday, August 21st, and coincides with Stage 5 of the men’s tour with an 8.5 mile individual time trial starting and finishing in downtown Breckenridge. The TT course will take riders out of Breckenridge to the leg burning Moonstone climb before screaming down Boreas Pass back into town. Day 2 will start in Loveland and head for the hills before finishing in Fort Collins. Riders will enjoy a challenging 58 mile course which will include a 20 mile climb to the top of Buckhorn Canyon. Once over the top a fast, technical descent of Rist Canyon will require excellent descending skills in order to cross the line first in Fort Collins. Stage 2 will have special motivation for the team, as the finish will be in the hometown of Whitney Schultz.
Stage 3 will take place in downtown Golden and will consist of a challenging 1.5 mile circuit. If you’re in the area, be sure to come out and cheer on the team. If you’re unable to attend personally, be sure to download the Tour Tracker and watch the races live:
